Ever since the pandemic, people across the globe are looking for ways to find inner peace.
With travel restrictions and quarantine mandates, it’s been hard to find some level of connection with one another. Luckily, we live in the era of technology. Websites and apps have become a part of our everyday life, so much so that we use these resources to help guide us through the day. Most people think apps like Instagram and Twitter are on top (and in some cases, this is true), but lately, the apps that have been succeeding more are the ones aimed at wellness.
The wellness industry is booming, and people slowly realize that taking care of the mind and body is essential, not just a fad. Although the pandemic has robbed us of many experiences, it’s also given us new ways of connecting with ourselves. It’s allowed us to have the time and space to do the inner work, which is the work that matters most.
Apps have become the future of wellness tracking, and it continues to thrive. No matter what device you’re using be it an iPhone or an Android, there are several apps and resources that you can connect to instantly with a swipe of a finger. However, here are three apps that I’ve rated as the cream of the crop.
Headspace:
Headspace is a meditation app that has won the heart of so many people across the globe. It’s full of different meditations for different occasions but that’s not all. The app contains exclusive playlists, workout videos, and even motivational videos that inspire you to gear down into a de-stress. All the meditation sessions are guided and you’re able to choose how long of a mediation you want.
Apple Health:
If you have an iPhone, then you are in luck! By syncing it up to your watch, Apple Health keeps track of your steps, distance traveled, resting energy expenditure, the number of calories burned during a workout, standing hours, and exercise minutes. You can even add your data, like blood sugar readings and your menstrual cycle! Pair it with an Apple Watch and you can also see heart rate data. If you have an Android, the best app to use is Google Fit which is free and can connect to your Fitbit easily.
Talkspace:
Who knew that one day therapy will be made into an app but thankfully, there’s Talkspace. Talkspace which has been the number one app during the pandemic is a one-stop-shop for finding the right therapy for you. You get matched with a licensed therapist in your state from the comfort of the app, and message via text, audio, and video.
These are just a few apps that I know work wonders. There are multiple fitness and wellness apps online that have a variety of different resources that can fit your lifestyle.
